UPSC govt jobs in Indian railway apprentices examination


Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) are conducting an examination for selection of candidates for appointment as Special Class Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways, which is held on 12th January 2014. The notification details are given below, read the notification carefully and apply for the examination.

Name of the post: Special Class Railway Apprentices
No. of Vacancies: Appox. 42 posts (2 posts are reserved for physically challenged candidates)

Last date for Application Submission: 4th November 2013.

Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality: Candidate must be either Indian or subject of Nepal or subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee.

Age limit: from 17 years to 21 years old (As on 1st January 2014).

Educational Qualification: A candidate must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent examination of University or Board approved by the Government of India with mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the Examination.
        Graduates with mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects.

Application fee: Rs. 100/- (No application fee for SC/ST/PH/Female candidates)
