Indian government of Defence is conducting examination of Combined Defence Services through UPSC. Including SSC women for non-technical course. Examination is conducting on 8th September 2013. There are total of 509 Vacancies available in defence system. few details of upsc CDS exam given below.

Eligibility Criteria:
Conditions of eligibility:
A candidate must either be
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 01st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age limit:
For IMA-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July , 1990 and not later than 01st July , 1995 only are eligible
For Indian Naval Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 1990 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C’ certificate holders) and not later than 01st July , 1995 only are eligible
For Air Force Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July , 1991 and not later than 01st July 1995 only are eligible
For Officers’ Training Academy (SSC course for Men)-Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 02nd July, 1989 and not later than 01st July , 1995 only are eligible
For Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course)-born not earlier than 02nd July, 1989 and not later than 01st July , 1995 only are eligible Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible.
Educational Qualification:
IMA and Officers’ Training Academy: Degree of a recognised university or equivalent
Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering.
Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
For admission to IMA, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy on or before 13th May, 2014.
For admission to Officer’s Training Academy, Chennai on or before 01st August, 2014.
Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognised by government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees would also be eligible for admission to the examination.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2013.
Application Fee: Candidates (excepting female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs 200/- (Rs two hundred only) either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card
All Female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST are not required to pay any fee
No fee exemption is, however, available to OBC candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
